Claire has been qualified as an Educational Psychologist since 2005. She has worked at all levels of Local Authority Educational Psychology Services, including Principal EP, Lead Specialist Senior EP for Mental Health, and Specialist Practitioner EP for Autism.
After graduating in Psychogy from the University of York, Claire spent her early career employed as a Specialist Teaching Assistant for primary aged children with Autism. After successful completion of a Primary PGCE course (University of Leeds) she qualified as a primary school teacher in 2000, working as a teacher and Senco.
Building upon her qualification and experience, Claire completed a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology (University of Newcastle) and began her EP career in 2005.
An advocate for lifelong learning and personal growth, Claire studied for her Doctorate in Educational Psychology (University of Manchester) alongside working as a full-time EP, which she successfully completed in 2012.

Throughout her Doctorate studies, Claire built upon several years of working with young people with Autism, including being a member of the Autism Diagnostic Panel in two Local Authorities.
More recently, Claire has been involved in large scale mental health initiatives, including leading on the delivery of the 'Wellbeing for Educational Return' programme following the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Claire is also passionate about the wellbeing of educational staff and has supported organisations in their approaches to staff wellbeing.
